ALOO JALVA


Cooking time : 15 minutes 
Serves / Makes : 5 - 6 
  
Ingredients 
Potatoes (cooked and smoothly mashed)3 Cups
Salt and pepper as per taste. 
For Stuffing: 
Green peas (cooked and coarsely mashed)1 Cup
Ginger (grated)1 Tea Spoon
Garam MasalaA pinch
Green chillies (finely chopped)1
Roasted cumin seeds Lemon Juice2 Tea Spoon
Corn flour for dusting tikkis2 Table Spoon
  
Procedure 
  1. Add stuffing ingredients to a bowl and mix. Add salt as per taste and set aside.
  2. Divide stuffing and mashed potatoes into equal portions.
  3. Rub hands with little oil.
  4. Take a ball of the potato mixture and flatten.
  5. Put a portion of stuffing in the center and seal the edges together completely so that the mixture does not come out.
  6. Flatten to a 3‘‘ tikki. Dust with corn flour. Make all the tikkis and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  7. Heat 3 tea spoon oil in a pan. Place 4 tikkis at a time, fry on low heat till crisp.
