KARELA-DA-KURBAN


Cooking time : 20 minutes 
Serves / Makes : 3 - 4 
  
Ingredients 
Karela (5‘‘ long)6
Coriander powder2 Tea Spoon
Cumin powder1 Tea Spoon
Red chilli powder1 Tea Spoon
Turmeric powder1/2Tea Spoon
Onion (sliced)2
Dry Mango powder1 Tea Spoon
Oil for cooking 
Salt as per taste 
  
Procedure 
  1. Slit the karela lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  2. Cut karelas into thin rounds.
  3. Toss well in 2 table spoon salt and set aside for 4 hours.
  4. Wash karelas again and squeeze dry.
  5. Fry the karelas in hot oil till golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper napkins and set aside.
  7. Fry sliced onions in 2 table spoon oil till golden.
  8. Add the dry powders.
  9. Add the fried karelas and cook covered on low heat up for 5 minutes.
  10. Check seasoning.
